Brisas del CaribeIf you want to enjoy a very local taste, then go to Brisas del Caribe. It is located in the front of the "Malecón", a short car drive in front of the sea in the town of Naguabo. You can find paid parking by locals, just steps from the restaurant.

A familiy operated restaurant, they bring you fresh cooked food that you have to wait real time to enjoy it. No micro or pre-cooked delicacies. Altough no air conditioned is available, the local is big enough for the sea breeze to enter the premises and enjoy the salted fresh sea breeze.

We enjoy many plates and the mofongo, shrimp, 'mero en salsa' and sea dishes all were great.

If you want to have a real taste from Puerto Rico and you were near the Naguabo town, then stop there to taste our puertorican cuisine.

Faro Maunabo PRTreasures sometimes are discovered by outsiders. And that is the case of a small town in Puerto Rico. Maunabo, a coastal small city at the southeast of the main island of Puerto Rico also can see across the ocean the southwest part of of Vieques and Culebra islands.

Before a new builded road tunnel, it was difficult to reach by car the town, keeping it as the ‚ÄòEsmeralda del Sur‚Äô (The South Emerald). This small city has already begun to be overrun by housing developers and luxury resort Investors. Palmas del Mar owners have purchased land at the bayfront looking toward the end of known Punta Tuna Lighthouse Beach. The rumors are that their future intention is to build a hotel and a marina with a casino.

Fajardo and the East coast, that includes Culebra and Vieques Island, is the boater's eden as it is the door to the Eastern Caribbean. From Fajardo, most boaters travel/sail to the USVI, The British Virgin Islands and the different small islands-nations that Westward and Eastward Islands have. Fajardo has Marina Puerto del Rey, Sunbay Marina and Villa Marina. Humacao has its Marina de Palmas.

Traveling from those east points is easy and secure as you will find boat traffic and the US Coast Guard servicing between USVI and Puerto Rico. Also there are some cays on the northeast part of the Islands that you can also enjoy.
